A network or platform provides infrastructure such as tracking, reporting, and payments. Management covers partner selection, recruitment, communication, promotional support, and decisions about program performance. Buying software does not perform that work for your team.
Start with margin, customer value, return rates, and the partner contribution you want to reward. Review new versus returning customers where reliable data supports it. Avoid a blanket rate chosen without considering program costs and promotional terms.
Yes, that can be an explicit program objective. Define suitable publishers and compare customer quality with the full cost of the program. Attributed sales alone do not show whether a partner created additional demand, so document how incrementality will be assessed.
Separate recruited partners, approvals, active promotions, traffic, orders, reversals, and commissions. Explain the partner opportunities and problems behind the totals, including tracking questions and promotional overlap. Agree on the next recruitment and activation actions.
Start with an inventory of active partners, links, commission agreements, product feeds, tracking, and unpaid commissions. Agree on the new platform and cutover date, tell partners what needs to change, and test clicks, orders, refunds, and attribution before retiring the old setup. Keep a reconciliation plan for transactions spanning the transition. The migration scope and ownership should be clear before work begins.
Ask who will manage your account, how they find and vet partners, what the reporting includes, and how they distinguish new customer growth from sales you may have received anyway. Agree on access, responsibilities, fees, communication, and success measures. Request examples relevant to your business and ask about the timeframe and conditions behind any quoted results.
If a program already exists, review tracking, partner activity, commission economics, and recruitment before moving platforms or starting over. A new launch makes sense when the offer and website are ready, margins can support commissions and fees, and someone owns partner activation. A large partner count alone does not tell you whether a program is healthy.
Affiliate program management is the day-to-day operation of a performance-based partner channel: choosing the network or platform, designing commission structures, recruiting and vetting partners, providing creative and landing pages, monitoring for fraud, and optimizing payouts. The goal is to build a channel that produces profitable, incremental sales. Commissions, platform fees, and management costs still need to be measured.
We work across all the major networks and SaaS platforms: Impact, CJ Affiliate, Rakuten, Awin, PartnerStack, Refersion, Everflow, and Tune, plus direct relationships when networks aren't a good fit. We recommend the right platform based on your industry, budget, and the partners you need to reach.
We don't rely on the network's auto-approval queue. We actively recruit content publishers, niche review sites, deal sites (when appropriate), influencers, coupon and loyalty partners, and B2B referral partners that match your customer profile. Every new partner is vetted for traffic quality and brand fit before approval.
Timing depends on your existing partners, offer, tracking, and recruitment pipeline. An established program may have opportunities to improve sooner than a new launch. Agree on early milestones such as tracking validation, qualified partner recruitment, activation, and first sales before setting revenue expectations.
Yes. We monitor for trademark bidding, coupon abuse, cookie stuffing, and other affiliate fraud patterns, and enforce program terms so your real partners aren't being undercut. We also keep affiliate disclosures and FTC compliance in line with current requirements.
Moving a former ShareASale program? The platform closed on October 6, 2025. Review Awin's post-upgrade checklist for tracking, plugin, and account checks before planning additional changes.
Choose the network and partner plan around customer fit, program economics, and the work needed to activate publishers.
Bring the current network agreement, commission rules, publisher list, attributed orders, returns, and known tracking issues. For a new program, start with product economics, target customers, promotional assets, and the types of partners you want.
A management scope should distinguish recruitment, approval, activation, ongoing support, and performance review. Set clear rules for promotions and decide how network fees, commissions, placements, and agency work fit the budget.
A publisher may join the program but never launch a promotion. Track that separately from active partners so recruitment totals do not hide an activation problem. This is an operating example, not a statement of client results.
