Affiliate Marketing represents a fantastic opportunity for merchants and advertisers to rocket their sales and new customer acquisition into the stratosphere. Such as been the case with a recent CJ launch our company has orchestrated, with a merchant in the beauty supply niche. I’m not revealing the merchant by name to protect their sales figures from their competitors (by I will tell you who it is if you contact me). After building the program with 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 green bar producers from our affiliate database, we got a wonderful surprise from a publisher that operates a large web portal for Korean-Americans. They picked up one of the monthly deals that we had set-up for this company’s affiliates to promote in February and really ran with it. This single affiliate generated over 800 sales in the month of February and a ton of traffic. Every single customer was a new customer and these we not people looking for this merchant’s coupon codes. It was simply a case of promoting a very target great offer to the right demographic. This program has hundreds of affiliates sending traffic and numerous regular sale producers. This merchant experienced excellent growth in sales, clicks, and ad impressions in a few short months. In order to achieve this growth we have employed the following affiliate management techniques:
– Recruited top super-affiliates into the program from our database
– Pushed our weekly and monthly promotions to the affiliate base
– Pushed out vanity coupons and exclusive promotions directly to the top performers in the program
– Instituted follow-up strategies for all new affiliates making sure they have access to all the ad inventory as well as promotions
– Distributed free, original content to inspire participation and increase SEO reach for the merchant

This type of spectacular affiliate sales growth doesn’t happen right away in all scenarios, but in this cases it has been dramatic and amazing. This was accomplished without any reliance on coupon code websites, although there are definitely some in the program. This was also accomplished without any trademark bidding what so ever.
