I really love Jimi Hendrix’s song Room Full of Mirrors. It really gets my pumped up when I’m working on the computer. Here are the lyric to Room Full o Mirrors, but not necessarily this version:

I USED TO LIVE IN A ROOM FULL OF MIRRORS
ALL I COULD SEE WAS ME
WELL I TAKE MY SPIRIT AND I SMASH MY MIRRORS
NOW THE WHOLE WORLD IS HERE FOR ME TO SEE
I SAID THE WHOLE WORLD IS HERE FOR ME TO SEE
NOW I’M SEARCHIN’ FOR MY LOVE TO BE
HEY!!

YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!

BROKEN GLASS WAS ALL IN MY BRAIN
CUTTIN’ SCREAMIN’ CRYING IN MY HEAD
BROKEN GLASS WAS ALL IN MY BRAIN
FALL IN MY DREAMS CUT ME IN MY BED
FALL IN MY DREAMS CUT ME IN MY BED
I SAID A MAKIN’ LOVE WAS STRANGE IN MY BED
YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!

ALL RIGHT
OOO OOO
YEAH YEAH YEAH

YEAH YEAH YEAH
YEAH YEAH YEAH
NO PLACE TO STUMBLE
NO PLACE TO FALL
CAN’T FIND WAR
NO WHERE AT ALL
SEE NOTHING BUT SUNSHINE
ALL AROUND

LOVE COMES SHININ’ OVER THE MOUNTAINS
LOVE COMES SHININ’ OVER THE SEA
LOVE WILL SHINE ON MY BABY
THEN I’LL KNOW WHO’S EXACTLY FOR ME
LORD, I’LL KNOW WHO’LL BE FOR ME
IN THE MEANTIME, WHICH IS A GROOVY TIME

This is one of my favorite Jimi songs. He did this live in concert quite a lot bit during his last tour. Dolly Dagger is a great jam with awesome lyrics. Here are Dolly Dagger lyrics but not necessarily to this version:

Jimi Hendrix “First Rays of the New Rising Sun”

Here comes Dolly Dagger
Her love’s so heavy, gonna make you stagger
Dolly Dagger, she drinks the blood from a jagged edge… aw, drink up baby

Been riding broomsticks since she was fifteen
Blowin’ out all the other witches on the scene
She got a bullwhip just as long as your life
Her tongue can even scratch the soul out of the devil’s wife.
Well I seen her in action at the Player’s Choice
Turn all the love men into doughnut boys.
Hey, red hot mama you better step aside,
This chicks gonna turn you to a block of ice.
Look out!

Here comes Dolly Dagger,
WHer love’s so strong gonna make you stagger, baby
Dolly Dagger
She drinks her blood from a jagged edge
Uh, right on
Drink up, baby
Hey!

Yeah, look at old burnt out Superman
Try’n’ to shoot his dust on the sun
Captain Karma kids, they’re dead on the run
Oh the words of love, ah
Do they ever touch Dolly Brown?
Better get some highway an’ clear outta town

Here comes Dolly Dagger,
Her love’s so heavy gonna make you stagger
Dolly Dagger
She ain’t satisfied ’til she gets what she’s after
She drinks the blood from a jagged edge
Alright
Watch out Devon
You give me a little bit of that heaven

Dolly, heavy mama, get it on, get it on, get it on
Dolly, heavy mama, get it on, get it on, get it on
Dolly, heavy mama, get it on, get it on, get it on
Dolly, heavy mama, get it on, get it on, get it on
Get it on, get it on, get it on, get it on, get it on, get it on
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah

Why Organic Traffic is So Important to Your Website – How to Get More Traffic

Author: Evan | Filed Under Organic Search

Everyone always ask me, “how do I get more organic/free traffic to my website?” Wow, what a complex yet simple question. You have to ask yourself how much time, effort and resources can I possibly put into my organic strategy to achieve the most free traffic from natural or organic search results as possible. I tell people that first you have to analyze what you are already doing organically with your meta-tags and site content. First tweak this to improve upon what you are already doing. If you already have decent rankings then re-optimizing can get you more search rankings. Be careful of course not to “over-optimize” and lose your rankings, but a good tweak and lengthening of your Title tags can help a lot. Always having complete, unique meta-tags like the keyword and description tags on all pages is also good, although many people will tell you not to worry about them. I think the more content you have on each page in more places the better. Well-written content is also a good idea to give visitors something compelling to read. There are many ways to generate organic traffic to your site. Having a large site with lots of articles and other types of pages can bring more traffic by garnering more rankings. Think of each page of your site like fish hooks out there ready to snare a visitor. You should have thousands of fish hooks out there to pull in visitors from the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN Live. Search engines tend to really like fresh content that their spiders pickup when they revisit your site. If you publish uniquely written articles, posts, or new pages on a daily basis it will encourage the search spiders to revisit your site more frequently, even numerous times a day looking for new content. Their goal is to provide searchers with the most valuable search results on particular search query, so make sure you producing good, unique and valuable content when the spiders and visitors come. The search engine companies know how long people tend to stay on your site/pages and they value sites that have high-page views per visit and length of stay on site. Having an RSS feed on your site is a great idea because you can submit that feed to numerous RSS directories and ping others. Having a comprehensive and proactive organic SEO strategy is a must for all websites regardless of size. You should alway be trying to find new places to list your site, like sociual networking sites, blogs and forums. If you have thousands of listings in business directories, sites and blogs that describer your company, with a link to your site, over time you will have a greater volume of traffic to your site. Climbing up the search rankings takes time and should be look at like a quest for fire. That may sound Cliché, but it really is a competition whether you view it that way or not. Once you have achieved the highest rankings you can attain for your major keyword phrases, you can turn full focus on to building your site outward with valuable content. You can never go wrong by publishing good content on your website. This is only one internet marketers viewpoint…its up to you to forge ahead…however, if you would like to hire me for consultation on SEO, PPC, or Affiliate Marketing please contact me. Now go out there and publish! :)

What are the Top Affiliate Networks with the Best Converting Merchants/Advertisers

Author: Evan | Filed Under Uncategorized

When looking to join and market affiliate programs you should look to join with affiliate networks that have stood the test of time and have excellent merchants and advertisers to choose from. By far the top two networks in affiliate marketing are Commission Junction and Linkshare. Both of these affiliate network companies have been around since around 2000 and have very impressive rosters of brand-name merchants. Let’s face it, online shoppers tend to feel more confident and therefore purchase more frequently from brand-name merchants that they are familiar with and have confidence in. This is where CJ and Linkshare have extreme dominance in the the affiliate network industry. Yes there are many, many smaller affiliate networks but if you really look at them you will see that the quality of offers/merchants is not usually very impressive. Shareasale is the only other affiliate network that has built up a good list of merchants and database of quality affiliates. CJ and Linkshare have their dominance and really have been the “meccas” for affiliates to join and participate with merchants in affiliate relationships since the inception of affiliate marketing. You won’t find the same offers in CJ and Linkshare, as Linkshare does not allow their merchants to participate in any other networks which is known as network exclusivity. So as an affiliate, you pretty much have to be joined to both CJ and Linkshare to participate with the majority of merchants out there.

When looking for the best converting offers you simply have to just log into CJ and Linkshare and go to apply to join the programs. there are stats know as the “EPC” or earning per hundred clicks that you can consider when selecting merchants within a particular category. The higher the EPC the better the offer tends to convert. I always suggest to new affiliates or “noobies” that they apply to several hundred programs in each network to see who approves them. They can then start building sites or blogs that target the products and/or services that those merchants sell. Most super affiliates already have a procedure for grabbing newly launched offers and adding them to their sites. It really depends on the type of website you already have or you want to launch when you are looking for offers to add to you site. Make sure to try out different merchants, but give it a little time to work, as trickle traffic can bring in unexpected sales. This is a basic description on the top affiliate networks and best converting offers you can join. Now get out there and start writing some content and driving some traffic! If you are interested is launching your own affiliate program or having you affiliate program managed properly, drop us a line.

Buddy Miles – Jimi Hendrix Drummer Dead at 60 – Goodbye Buddy!

Author: Evan | Filed Under Music

The amazing drummer Buddy Miles that played with Jimi Hendrix for a couple of years in the late 60s dies on February 28, 2008. He was probably my favorite drummer of all time and was a great singer as well. He and Jimi jammed together during the late 60s and they were good friends. They recorded the album Band of Gypsys at the Filmore East which is completely incredible.

Check out Jimi, Buddy and Billy Cox doing Machine Gun at the Filmore New Years Eve 1970.

Pepper Jam Management Clients Contacted by Commission Junction

Author: Evan | Filed Under Uncategorized

The latest drama in the affiliate marketing world is Commission Junction calling up PepperJam’s affiliate management clients to basically tell them to drop Pepper Jam management due to the fact that Pepper Jam has launched a competing affiliate network called: The PepperJam Network. Here the issue…PepperJam manages affiliate programs for merchants in CJ, yet they launched their own network 2 months ago and are agressively promoting it as being so great and wonderful, garnering endoresments from some of the “biggest” names in affiliate marketing . (I have looked at it and and I wasn’t that impressed.) So, CJ according to PepperJams own CEO’s blog started “cold calling” (it’s hardly that) all the merchants that PepperJam is managing in CJ and have told them to fire PepperJam. I completely agree with CJ on this issue, of course they would want to protect their affiliate base and merchant based from being pilfered by the Pepper Jam staff and employees. This is a major conflict of interest in my opinion. Most of you know that I am a big fan of Commission Junction for a lot of reasons, not least of which is their incredible base of affiliates and brand-name merchants. If I were them I would want to protect this affiliate universe from being picked at by the likes of Pepper Jam. There is potentially a major issue for the merchants that PepperJam is managing in CJ, which is that from what I understand Pepper Jam Management has a 60 day out clause in their contract, which will hurt merchants that have to pay that 2 months of fees for services that won’t be rendered if they have to either handle it inhouse or move to another affiliate program management company. It’s also very bad for PepperJam in that they can potentially lose clients. Pepper Jam can tell them to relax while things will blow over, but I doubt they will. PepperJams clients that are leaving maybe interested in contacting Experience Advertising for our affiliate program management and recruiting services. We charge much less per month and over-deliver value in the form of affiliate program growth month over month. We are industry experts in SEO, PPC, HTML and all aspcets of Internet Marketing. You can contact Evan if you would like a free consultation and full evaluation. I look forward to hearing from you.

Whether they handle it inhouse or with a company that specializes in affiliate program management, you should have this aspect of your business handled by people that are proactive, knowledgeable, and gung-ho about growing and managing your affiliate program.
